Minister Ponmudy and Muthusamy participated in a public meeting and distributed welfare assistance to commemorate the centenary celebrations of Kalaignar at Kalapatti in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Kalaignar at Kalapatti in Coimbatore, a public meeting and distribution of welfare assistance was held on Wednesday evening.

Ministers Ponmudi and Muthusamy participated in the meeting and distributed welfare assistance to the public.

Addressing the gathering, the Higher Education Minister Ponmudi said, "On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Kalaignar, I am proud to say that a person from Tamil Nadu who is the Director of Chandrayaan-3 ISRO belongs to our hometown Villupuram and hails from Tamil Nadu. It is a matter of pride to be the Director of such a successful mission to the moon. His father worked in the Railways. I am proud that the DMK is the Trichy Regional In-Charge of the Workers' Progressive Union."
"It was only after Udhayanidhi's arrival in ministry that sports developed in Tamil Nadu. This is the pride of Udhayanidhi Dravida after Vaazhaiyadi Vaazhai, Thalapathy behind Kalaignar and Udhayanidhi Dravida behind Thalapathy," he added.
