Hearing impaired for student as she gets electrocuted in govt school restroom in Tirupur

The girl was electrocuted when she went to the toilet of a government school in Tirupur. The girl suffered a fractured bone and hearing loss.



Tirupur: The parents of a girl student have complained that negligence on the part of a government school was the reason for her daughter's death. They also requested the government to help in the medical treatment of her daughter.

Joslyn Jennia is the daughter of Davidraj and Jennifer, a native of Kuttakutti village in Dindigul district. She lives with his parents in a rented house in Serangadu area of Tirupur.

She is studying in 8th standard at Serangadu Corporation Middle School, Tirupur.Joslyn Genea, a student, went to school on The 5th. When we went to the toilet there, the electricity was electrocuted from the wire that had broken from the roof of the toilet and hung. Joslyn Genea, who was thrown out, was seriously injured.

She was undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital in Tirupur and suffered fractures in his elbow bone and shoulder. He also suffered injuries on his neck.



Also, joslyn genera's parents went to a private hospital and showed her as she could not hear properly even after 7 days of treatment at the government medical college hospital. She lost 90 per cent of his hearing due to damage to his ears, they said.

Joslyn Jennia, who was electrocuted due to carelessness at the government school, said neither the government nor the school management came forward to help her and requested her to help with her daughter's treatment. Jennifer said, "I live in Serenkadu, Tirupur and work as a labourer. Her daughter Joslyn Jennia was studying in a municipal school when she was electrocuted and injured 20 days ago after being electrocuted at the school.

The school management is careless in this incident and blaming my daughter. My daughter Joslyn Genea has suffered fractures in her elbow and shoulder bones. There is also damage to the neck. The ears have lost 90 per cent of their hearing. I work as a labourer. The private hospital does not have the facility to pay for the treatment. "The Tamil Nadu government should help in my daughter's treatment," he said with tears in his eyes.
