Coimbatore Children Donate Funds to Aid Rain-Affected People in South TN

Young siblings from Gandhi Nagar, Coimbatore, contribute their savings to assist people affected by the recent heavy rains in Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: In a heartwarming act of kindness, three children from Gandhi Nagar, Coimbatore, have contributed towards relief efforts for people affected by the recent rains in Tamil Nadu. The siblings, P.K. Pranavika, P.K. Kayalkanni, and P.K. Ambedkar, children of T. Palanisamy and M. Krithika, pooled their savings for this cause.

P.K. Pranavika, the eldest, had previously donated Rs. 1,516 from her savings to the COVID-19 relief fund. This time, she expressed her desire to use her piggy bank savings of Rs. 2,024 to help the rain-affected. Encouraged by her gesture, her parents added Rs. 1,000 on the occasion of their younger daughter P.K. Kayalkanni's third birthday, and the gift money of Rs. 5,500 received during their son P.K. Ambedkar's naming ceremony. This brought the total contribution to Rs. 8,524, which was personally handed over to Coimbatore District Collector Kranti Kumar in the form of a Demand Draft today.
