Southern Railway Revises Coach Composition for Key Express Trains for Coimbatore commuters

The Southern Railway has announced a revision in the coach composition of the Chennai-Bengaluru Double Decker and Bengaluru-Coimbatore Uday Express trains, to be effective from February 15, 2024.


Coimbatore: In a move to enhance passenger comfort and efficiency, the Southern Railway's latest notice states a significant revision in the coach composition of two express trains starting February 15, 2024. The Chennai-Bengaluru Double Decker Express (Train No. 22625/22626) will see an inclusion of 8 AC Double Decker Chair Cars and 5 Non-AC Chair Cars. The Bengaluru-Coimbatore Uday Express (Train No. 22665/22666) will also run with a new set of coaches, providing a modern travel experience to commuters. The announcement was made at the Coimbatore district office, with officials including the District Collector Kranthikumar and MP Shanmuga Sundaram present at the event.

The revised composition is a strategic move to cater to the increasing demand for these routes and is part of Southern Railway's commitment to passenger satisfaction and service improvement. The updated coach configurations are expected to provide better accommodation and meet diverse passenger needs.

As the news spread, the public response has been welcoming, with passengers expressing their approval for the railways' efforts to improve travel services.
