Coimbatore: Today, a group of 20 daily wage workers in the Puliakulam area, falling under Ward 66 of the Coimbatore Corporation, raised concerns after not receiving their salaries for the current month until January 11. This issue led to a heated argument between the workers and the ward in-charge.

The altercation caused a brief stir in the area, with the workers voicing their frustrations over the delayed payment. Following the dispute, officials indicated that they would inform the higher authorities in the municipal corporation about the workers' grievances.

The situation underscores the challenges faced by daily wage workers in securing timely payment, and the need for swift resolution by the authorities to alleviate their concerns.
