Scheduled Power Outage Cancelled in Seeranaickenpalayam Today

The Coimbatore Electricity Board announces the cancellation of today's scheduled power cut due to administrative reasons, affecting several areas under the Seeranaickenpalayam substation.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Electricity Board has cancelled the monthly maintenance power outage that was scheduled for today (18th January 2024) in various parts of the city, citing administrative reasons. Areas that were supposed to experience the outage, under the Seeranaickenpalayam substation, include Seeranaickenpalayam, Pappanaickenpudur, Vadavalli, Vedapatti, Veerakeralam, Telungupalayam, Velanthavalam, Sai Baba Colony, Sundapalayam (part), Selvapuram, Anna Nagar Housing Unit, Gandhi Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, Idayarpalayam (part), and parts of Vadavalli Road.

The power cut, initially scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM, was intended for routine maintenance. However, the sudden cancellation has come as a relief to residents and businesses in the affected areas, who were bracing for a day without electricity.
