Coimbatore Mayor Conducts Comprehensive Inspections of Various Municipal Projects

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inspected multiple municipal projects in Coimbatore, including public restrooms, stormwater drains, roadworks, a child development center, and a city park.


Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, on January 23, led a series of inspections across various municipal projects in Coimbatore's Central Zone, Ward No. 67. The Mayor's focus included the public restroom facilities at CMC Colony, where she directed officials to ensure proper maintenance. Accompanied by Council Member Vidya Ramanathan and other municipal officials, the Mayor emphasized the importance of clean and functional public amenities.





Additionally, Mayor Anandakumar inspected the stormwater drains in Ram Nagar and Kalidas Road, instructing officials to promptly clear the drains to prevent flooding issues. This action reflects the city's proactive measures in addressing monsoon-related challenges.





The Mayor also directed the commencement of roadworks on Ansari Street following the completion of 24-hour water supply projects in the area. This initiative is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve its infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

Furthermore, Mayor Anandakumar visited the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) center on V.K.K. Menon Road. She reviewed the facility's records and interacted with the children, underscoring the city's commitment to child welfare and development.









Lastly, the Mayor inspected the municipal park in Sornambika Layout, issuing instructions for its upkeep. The visit highlights the administration's dedication to preserving and beautifying public green spaces in Coimbatore.

These inspections by the Mayor represent a hands-on approach in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of municipal services, vital for the city's overall development and well-being.
