Coimbatore: In a distressing incident on the night of February 7, a borewell lorry traveling at high speed met with an accident near Chinniyampalayam, Coimbatore, after colliding with a road barrier on Avinashi Road. The impact caused the lorry to overturn, resulting in injuries to three individuals, including the driver and the cleaner.

The accident scene was chaotic as diesel fuel leaked from the lorry's tank, spreading across the road and heightening the emergency situation. Promptly arriving at the site, police and emergency services managed to clear the overturned lorry and rush the injured to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for medical treatment.

The spillage of diesel fuel and the efforts to manage the aftermath of the accident caused a temporary halt in traffic flow on the busy Coimbatore-Avinashi Road, leading to congestion. This incident underscores the importance of road safety measures and cautious driving to prevent such unfortunate events in the future.
