In Coimbatore's Gandhipuram, a beauty salon was found operating a prostitution ring with women from other states. Police arrested five individuals, including a woman broker, following a raid.
Coimbatore: A beauty salon located on Cross Cut Road in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore, has been found to be a front for a prostitution operation involving women from outside the state. Following a tip-off, the Kattoor police conducted a raid on the salon on February 19. The investigation revealed the salon was indeed engaging in prostitution under the guise of offering beauty services.
Subsequently, police arrested five individuals involved in the operation, including the salon's receptionist Sujees (39) from Kerala's Palakkad, and four women brokers - Stephy Mol (34) from Kottayam, Kerala, Nagamma (36) from Mysore, Akshatha (33) from Bangalore, and Rani (29) also from Bangalore. They were later presented in court and remanded to custody.
