Nilgiris MP A. Raja visited the home of Veerapandi Town Panchayat Leader V. Padmavathi in Coimbatore District to express his condolences over the recent passing of her mother, alongside other political and local body representatives.
Coimbatore: In a gesture of support and solidarity, Nilgiris Member of Parliament A. Raja paid a visit today (Feb. 20) to the residence of V. Padmavathi, the leader of Veerapandi Town Panchayat in Coimbatore District, to convey his condolences following the recent demise of her mother. The visit was marked by the presence of key political figures, including Central Executive Committee member TR Shanmugasundaram, Koodalur Town Panchayat Leader A. Arivarasu, Karamadai Union Party Secretaries Surendran, and SMT. Kalyanasundaram, along with district, union, town, panchayat, and branch party officials, as well as representatives of local governing bodies.
Additionally, A. Raja initiated a road construction project in Sikkathambampalayam Panchayat within the Karamadai East Union of Coimbatore District. The project, valued at Rs. 170 lakh, aims to pave the road from Cheran Nagar Railway Second Bridge to Payapanur, enhancing public infrastructure. This project saw the participation of Union Party Secretaries SMT Kalyanasundaram, Surendran, former MLA Arunkumar, along with district, union, town, panchayat, and branch party officials, and public attendees.
