The event, held at the Codissia open ground, aims to highlight the significance of parental involvement in education, alongside the launch of the Aadhaar registration project at Kaalapatti Government School to facilitate essential certificates for students and parents directly at schools.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu State Parents Teachers Association hosted its regional conference titled "Celebrate Parents" in Coimbatore today, on February 23, 2024. The conference, which encompasses Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and Nilgiris districts, was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of School Education, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, at the Codissia open ground.

The event saw the presence of notable officials including the Secretary of the School Education Department, Mr. Kumaragurubaran IAS, Additional Director of Rural Development, Mrs. Swetha Suman IAS, Directors of School Education Mr. Arivoli, Mr. Kannappan, Mr. Nagaraja Murugan, Joint Director Mr. Kumar, and Chief Educational Officer Mr. R. Balamurali.
Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi also launched the Aadhaar registration project at the Kaalapatti Government Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore. The launch aims to streamline the process of obtaining caste, residence, and income certificates for students and their parents, avoiding the need to visit government offices. This initiative is part of the Tamil Nadu government's efforts to facilitate easier access to necessary documents within the school premises where students study.

The conference addressed the importance of parental involvement in the educational journey of their children and discussed the implementation of schemes for the rapid provision of essential certificates directly in schools.
Furthermore, the event was attended by several education officials, including Director of School Education Mr. Ramakrishnan, Primary Education Director Mr. Kannappan, Chief Education Officer Mr. Balamurali, District Education Officer Mr. Jayasankar, Head Teacher Mrs. Mari Selvi, among others, highlighting the collaborative efforts in enhancing educational facilities and services in the region.
