Consultative Meeting on Financial Statement Preparation Held in Coimbatore

Coimbatore Municipal Corporation hosted a consultative meeting led by Mayor Mrs. Kalpana Anandakumar and Commissioner Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran on February 24, 2024, focusing on the preparation of the financial statement for 2024-2025.


Coimbatore: A pivotal consultative meeting on the preparation of the financial statement for the fiscal year 2024-2025 was held at the main office conference hall of the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation today, February 24, 2024. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Mayor Mrs. Kalpana Anandakumar and the Municipal Commissioner Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran, I.A.S.

The session was attended by the Deputy Mayor Mr. R. Vetriselvan, Deputy Commissioners Mrs. S. Selvasurabi and Mr. K. Sivakumar, along with Zone Leaders Mr. V. Kathirvel (North), Mrs. Lakshmi Ilanjchelvikarthik (East), Mrs. K.A. Dheivayanai Tamizhmarai (West), Mrs. R. Dhanalakshmi (South), Mrs. Meena Logu (Central), Standing Committee Leaders Mrs. Deepa Thalapathi Ilango (Accounts), Mrs. Shanthi Murugan (Works), Mrs. Malathi Nagaraj (Education & Parks), Mrs. V.P. Mubaseera (Taxation & Finance), Mr. Somu (a.k.a) Santhosh (Town Planning), the party leader Mr. Karthikeyan, council members, assistant commissioners, and other officials of the Municipal Corporation.

The assembly focused on strategic discussions and the formulation of the revenue and expenditure plan for the upcoming financial year, underlining the importance of transparency and efficiency in fiscal management. This meeting reflects the civic body's commitment to sound financial planning and public accountability, aiming to enhance the city's infrastructure and services in alignment with the residents' needs and expectations.
