Surge in Tourist Visits to Ooty's Boat House Amid Pleasant Climate

Ooty's Boat House, along with the Government Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden, has witnessed a significant increase in tourist footfall, especially during the weekend holidays, as people flock to enjoy the pleasant weather amidst scorching heat in the plains.

Coimbatore: The renowned tourist destinations in Ooty, including the Government Botanical Gardens, Rose Garden, and the Boat House, are experiencing a significant increase in tourist visits, a common trend in this picturesque hill station.

Recently, coinciding with the weekend holidays and seeking respite from the blistering heat in the plains, a large number of tourists have thronged to Ooty to enjoy its cooler climate. Yesterday morning (February 24), the Ooty Boat House saw an influx of visitors eager to partake in boating activities, with many waiting in long queues to enjoy the rides.

Other popular tourist spots in the area have also seen increased visits from tourists from Kerala, Karnataka, and other districts of Tamil Nadu. The escalating heat is expected to further boost tourist arrivals in Ooty from the second week of March.

It is noteworthy that last year, the Boat House alone attracted around 1.6 million tourists who enjoyed boating, highlighting the enduring appeal of Ooty as a prime destination for visitors seeking to escape the heat and enjoy the serene beauty of the hill station.
