Enhanced Security Measures in Coimbatore Ahead of Prime Minister Modi's Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend a Road Show in Coimbatore tomorrow, prompting intensified security arrangements across the city, especially from Gandhipuram junction to RS Puram post office.


Coimbatore: In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Coimbatore for a Road Show scheduled tomorrow, comprehensive security arrangements are being fortified throughout the city. The security measures are notably intensified along a three-kilometer stretch from Gandhipuram junction to RS Puram post office today, March 17.

Additionally, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is actively preparing to welcome the Prime Minister with enthusiasm. Barricades are being erected on both sides of the road, and party flags are being displayed. Municipal workers are also engaged in cleanliness drives to ensure the areas are pristine.



The city police, in collaboration with the Central security forces, are working diligently to ensure the Prime Minister's safety. Surveillance and monitoring activities are being ramped up to secure the event.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive at Coimbatore airport by 5:30 PM tomorrow and will initiate the Road Show from the Gandhipuram area at around 5:45 PM. The Road Show is estimated to last for about an hour, concluding near the RS Puram post office.



Following the event, the Prime Minister will stay overnight in Coimbatore at the Circuit House. He is scheduled to depart for Kerala the following morning on Tuesday.
