The Perur Shanthalinga Adigalar Hospital, initiated by the Seer Development Shanthalinga Ramasamy Adigalar Foundation, has opened its doors with outpatient services, planning to expand to a 115-bed facility.

Coimbatore: In a significant development for healthcare in Coimbatore, the Perur Shanthalinga Adigalar Hospital, established under the aegis of the Seer Development Shanthalinga Ramasamy Adigalar Foundation, commenced its outpatient services on March 1, 2024. The hospital, envisioned to be a four-storied facility with 115 beds, is set to expand its inpatient services from March 20, 2024, marking a new era in medical care and research in the region.

The first phase of the hospital has been completed with 50 beds across the ground and first floors. The hospital, led by the esteemed member of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department's high-level committee, Thavathiru Shanthalinga Maruthachala Adigalar, now offers a wide range of medical services. These include general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, diabetes care, an emergency department operational round the clock, outpatient and inpatient departments, diagnostic services at reduced rates, a pharmacy offering a 10% discount, and multiple surgical theaters.

On March 17, 2024, the hospital conducted its first free medical camp in Kuppepalayam, with plans to hold monthly camps in various villages, ensuring accessibility to quality healthcare at minimal costs. The availability of advanced diagnostic tools like ultrasound scans, X-rays, ECG, along with a dedicated ambulance service, underscores the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services.

The establishment of the Perur Shanthalinga Adigalar Hospital is a boon for the suburban populations, offering them an exceptional opportunity for accessible and affordable healthcare. This initiative not only contributes to the health and well-being of the community but also cements the legacy of Shanthalinga Ramasamy Adigalar in contributing to the social and medical upliftment of Coimbatore.

As the hospital gears up to fully operationalize its inpatient services, the residents of Coimbatore look forward to benefiting from the state-of-the-art facilities and compassionate care that the Perur Shanthalinga Adigalar Hospital promises to offer.
