TVK Leader Vijay Emphasizes the Importance of Votes in Shaping Tamil Nadu's Future

Actor Vijay, leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, released a statement highlighting the impact of each vote against corruption and social divisions in defining Tamil Nadu and India's democratic and secular values.

Coimbatore: In a crucial call to citizens, Actor Vijay, the leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, has emphasized the profound influence of voting in the current political climate. "Everyone is aware of the prevailing political conditions today, where a group is fervently working to divide people based on caste, religion, language, and ethnicity through rampant corruption," Vijay stated. He urged voters to recognize the historical significance of their votes which not only enshrine democratic principles and secularism but also safeguard the rights and dignity across communities including farmers, fishermen, women, minorities, backward and extremely backward classes, and tribal communities. "These votes are pivotal in wiping away the sufferings of these communities and upholding the values of equality, brotherhood, social justice, and self-respect provided by the constitution of India," he added. Vijay's statement concludes with an appeal to ponder who stands at the forefront in preserving these constitutional values and to let their votes protect both Tamil Nadu and India.
