Karamadai Residents Express Gratitude to Coimbatore District Collector for Basic Amenities

Residents of Ambedkar Nagar in Karamadai, Coimbatore thanked District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati for providing electricity and water after years of neglect.

Coimbatore: Residents of Ambedkar Nagar in Karamadai have expressed their gratitude to the Coimbatore District Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati, for recent improvements in basic amenities.

Since 2020, individuals in this depressed community had been living without proper facilities, including no access to potable water, electricity, roads, or sewage services. Persistent appeals and protests to both the district administration and related authorities were largely ignored for the past four years, leaving the residents in significant distress.

However, continuous efforts over the last three months, including petitions delivered to the collector's office, have borne fruit. Coverage by local media brought the issue to Kranthi Kumar Pati’s attention, leading to expedited action. As a result, residents recently received access to electricity and water facilities.

Overjoyed by these provisions, the community gathered on April 21 to extend their thanks to the District Collector. They also urged him to continue these improvements and provide additional fundamental services like road facilities.

The community hopes that these changes mark the beginning of further developments in their neighborhood.
