Coimbatore Corporation Swimming Pool Draws Crowds for Affordable Training

Coimbatore's Gandhi Park Corporation Pool offers low-cost swimming Classes. The pool maintains high cleanliness standards, attracting many from various parts of the city.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Gandhi Park Corporation Swimming Pool has become a popular spot for swimming enthusiasts seeking affordable training.



Located in the central area of the city, the pool offers Classes for children and adults at minimal fees, competing in maintenance and cleanliness with private facilities. The influx of people from all over Coimbatore has increased recently due to its commendable facilities.

The pool, measuring 25 meters in width and 13 meters in length, is maintained scrupulously, with water being changed every week on Mondays when the facility is closed to the public. Three trainers along with one lifeguard are appointed to ensure proper coaching and safety of the swimmers.

Charges for swimming are kept nominal, with children up to 7 years old paying only 25 rupees, while adults are charged 50 rupees per session. There is also a monthly training fee of 1,500 rupees, attracting over 30 students regularly.

Training sessions are well organized throughout the day. Advanced training sessions run from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM, followed by basic training from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Special slots are reserved for women from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and the general public can access the pool from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM. Diving is restricted only to those who have received proper swimming training.
