BSNL Officer's House Burglarized in Pollachi, 50 Sovereigns of Gold Stolen

A BSNL officer's home in Pollachi was burglarized, with 50 sovereigns of gold jewelry stolen. Surveillance footage is being used by police in their ongoing search for the suspects.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, the house of a BSNL officer was broken into and robbed of approximately 50 sovereigns of gold jewelry. The theft occurred in Seran Nagar near Pollachi. The officer, Balaji, aged 46, works at the BSNL office in Pollachi and was visiting a relative’s house nearby when the burglary took place.


Neighbors noticed the broken door on the previous day and informed Balaji, who on returning, discovered the theft. The almirah was forcibly opened and the gold jewelry was missing.



Following this, Balaji reported the incident to Mahalingapuram police station, prompting the arrival of forensic experts and a sniffer dog to collect evidence at the scene.



Furthermore, the police are utilizing video footage from surveillance cameras installed at Balaji's home to aid in their search for the culprits. The investigation is currently being pursued vigorously by the local authorities.
