Tamilnadu College of Engineering Celebrates 40th Annual Day and Sports Day

Tamilnadu College of Engineering in Coimbatore celebrated its 40th Annual Day and Sports Day on May 2, 2024. Suresh Chukkapalli encouraged students towards entrepreneurship, highlighting essential qualities for success.


Coimbatore: Tamilnadu College of Engineering, a pioneer in self-financed education in Tamil Nadu, marked its 40th Annual and Sports Day on May 2, 2024.



The celebration was held at the college premises, attended by distinguished guests and the college community.


Dr. M. Karthikeyan, the Principal of the college, initiated the proceedings by welcoming the attendees and presenting the annual report.



He was followed by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions, who in her address, emphasized the importance of sustaining friendships formed in college for entrepreneurial success.


Dr. P.V. Ravi, who presided over the function, announced the establishment of a new entrepreneurship training division, aimed at enriching the students' career prospects. KVS Phani Chandar, Advocate at High Court, Chennai, extended his congratulations to the students, wishing them success in future endeavors.


In a noteworthy speech, Suresh Chukkapalli, the Chief Guest and Honorary Consulate General of Republic of Korea, outlined five key entrepreneurial attributes - Focus, Loyalty, Hard work, Commitment, and Belief in one's idea. He stressed the need for educators to foster these qualities in students, preparing them for future success and societal contributions.


Following the speeches, an interactive session led by Chukkapalli offered students personalized advice and answers to their career queries. The event also included a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing students' achievements in academics and sports, coupled with the presentation of job offer letters by various companies.


The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Dr Vinoth Kumar, Director of the Dept of Physical Education, and a series of cultural performances by the staff and students, bringing the festivities to a lively close.
