Coimbatore:Â The National Testing Agency (NTA) today (May 5) will conduct the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test Undergraduate 2024 (NEET UG 2024).
This year, more than 24 lakh candidates will appear for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024 at different centers located in 557 cities throughout the country and 14 cities outside India.Â
In Coimbatore, 6,967 candidates from various educational institutions including government schools, are slated to participate in the exams conducted across 13 centers in the district. Notable venues include Peelamedu National Model School, Saravanampatti Public School, and Vidya Niketan School among others.Â
The NEET UG 2024 exam consists of four subjects, each with two sections. Section A contains 35 questions, while Section B contains 15 questions, of which candidates can choose to answer any 10. The duration of the test is three hours and 20 minutes.
Scheduled from 2 PM to 5:20 PM, candidates are advised to arrive at their respective centers by 1:30 PM, facilitating a seamless start to the examination process. No candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination centre after the gate closing time.
It is mandatory for candidates to bring their hall ticket to the exam center. The NEET UG hall ticket link can be found on the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. The downloaded NEET UG admit card must prominently feature the candidate's photograph, signature, and the roll number barcode.
Stringent measures including frisking at entry, prohibition of electronic devices and adherence to specific dress codes, are in place to deter malpractice. Candidates caught using unfair means will face severe consequences, including being barred from participating in any future examinations conducted by the agency.
All examination centers are equipped with necessary facilities and stringent security arrangements, ensuring a conducive testing environment for all candidates.
