District Congress Committee members show their agitation against central government over farmers' issue.

The District Congress Committee demonstrated protest at all constituencies of the city condemning the central government for their disdainful stance on the farmers' issue. Holding ploughs and grain stems the protestors showed their agitation.

Hundreds of congress party cadres raised slogans against the central government at South Taluk office for persistently ignoring the pleas of people from Tamil Nadu. They also alleged that the central government has failed to protect the interest and welfare of this state and that the Vardah flood compensation has not been approved in full to the state.

Despite the erupting protests in Tamil Nadu in support of the farmers' plight, the Central government has no intent to look into the issue.

President, District Congress Committee, V.M.C. Manoharan, Former State Youth Congress Chief Mayura Jayakumar, District General Secretary, Radhakrishnan led the protests in Saibaba Colony , South Taluk Office and Singanallur constituency.
