Coimbatore: A young man from the region of Saravanampatti, identified as 19-year-old Soundarrajan, son of Palanisamy, has been incarcerated under the stringent Goondas Act for his involvement in a robbery case.
The arrest was made by the local police under the jurisdiction of the Kovilpalayam Police Station. Following his apprehension, the Coimbatore SP, Badri Narayanan, recommended action under the Goondas Act, leading Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati to officially order Soundarrajan’s detention under the said act on May 21st.
