Dog Rescued by Firefighters after Getting Stuck in Gate Near Periyanaickenpalayam

Near Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, a dog got its head stuck in a gate. Fire and Rescue personnel freed the dog by applying oil around its neck after a 30-minute effort.


Coimbatore: A dramatic rescue unfolded near Vannar Kovil at Periyanaickenpalayam when a dog was found with its head stuck in a household gate. The Periyanaickenpalayam Fire and Rescue Service received a distress call and promptly responded to the scene.

The rescue team led by officers Karthikeshan, Suresh Kumar, Satheesh Kannan, Velmurugan, and Mohanraj faced a challenging task.



In a carefully coordinated operation, the team used fabric to protect the dog's eyes and liberally applied oil to the neck area.



After struggling for about half an hour, they successfully freed the dog. During the operation, another dog, appearing to be its companion, watched over the scene with evident concern for its friend.

This incident highlights the responsive and compassionate approach of the local fire and rescue team in handling animal distress calls.
