Man Arrested Under Goondas Act for Murder in Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore

Sathish, a 34-year-old from Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, was arrested and jailed for the murder of Renuka, 40. Following the recommendation by SP Badrinarayanan, the act was enforced by Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.


Coimbatore: In a chilling development from Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, a man named Sathish, aged 34, has been arrested and detained under the stringent provisions of the Goondas Act for the murder of a 40-year-old woman, Renuka. The victim, like the accused, resided in the same locality.

The arrest was made following the recommendation of Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan. Subsequently, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati issued an order to detain Sathish under the Goondas Act, effectively ensuring prolonged detention to prevent him from committing further crimes.
