Income Tax Department officials conducted a raid at a businessman's house in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, seizing undisclosed sums and an air gun, with ongoing investigations.
Coimbatore: A significant raid led by the Income Tax Department unfolded at the residence of a businessman in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore. Authorities from Coimbatore and Chennai conducted the raid, which resulted in the discovery and seizure of Rs 4.10 crore in undisclosed funds. An air gun was also seiźed from the premises.

Feroz Khan, who runs a hotel in Bangalore, has been under scrutiny for purported tax evasion. The ongoing raid also brought the presence of Tamil Nadu Police ensuring the security around the residential area during the operation.

The Income Tax officials are further investigating the matter, hinting at the likelihood of more undisclosed activities. Inspector Bhaskaran from Kuniyamuthur police station is actively involved in monitoring the operations carried out by the revenue authorities at the raided house.
