Environmental Awareness Rally Held at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University hosted an environmental awareness rally marking Environmental Science Day, led by Registrar Dr. R. Tamilvendan. Numerous students participated and tree saplings were distributed to vehicle drivers.


Coimbatore: In observance of Environmental Science Day, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University’s Department of Environmental Sciences held a significant awareness rally.



The event was inaugurated by Registrar Dr. R. Tamilvendan who initiated the march, aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among the community.



Participating in the rally were several key figures, including Dr. Balasubramaniam, Director of Natural Resource Management; Dr. Venkatesa Palaniswamy, Dean (Agriculture); Dr. Maragatham, Dean (Student Welfare); and Dr. Devaki of the Department of Environmental Sciences. Over 100 students also joined the rally, demonstrating their support for environmental initiatives.



As a part of the event, tree saplings along with yellow bags were distributed to drivers, encouraging the planting of more trees and sustainable practices among the community. This initiative is an extension of the university’s commitment towards creating environmental awareness and fostering a green, healthy environment.
