Park College of Technology Celebrates World Environment Day 2024

On June 5, 2024, the Department of Environmental Engineering of Park College of Technology celebrated World Environment Day by planting 100 saplings and pledged to protect the environment.


Coimbatore: The Park College of Technology marked World Environment Day 2024 with a significant gathering at its campus on June 5, 2024. The event was organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering.



Dr. K Kumaresan, the principal of Park College, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, while Sathish Kumar, GM of Park Group of Institutions, offered felicitations.



The function was presided over by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions. During her address, she emphasized the critical need for maintaining the environment clean and unspoiled, underlining the responsibility to protect the air, water, and land. She reinforced that the department's primary goal is to "Protect our Mother Earth."

A pledge to protect the environment was taken by all participants, marking a commitment to ecological conservation. Following the pledge, Dr. Anusha Ravi led the ceremonial inauguration of planting 100 saplings within the campus, promoting the college's green initiative.

The event saw active participation from faculty members and students, concluding with the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing national pride and commitment to environmental stewardship.
