Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Temple has taken a modern twist on spiritual practice by introducing a virtual reality 3D darshan for its devotees. This innovative service uses new technologies to offer a remote yet immersive temple experience from anywhere in the world.

Chief Executive Officer of Kashi Vishweanath Temple, Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, shared insights into the integration of this cutting-edge technology at the temple. He explained, “After seeing successful implementations of 3D virtual reality in other prominent temples, we decided to bring this technology to our devotees. Initial trials among temple staff and priests were positively reviewed, paving the way for its introduction to the general public.” From its inception on June 4, over 282 devotees have experienced the temple in virtual reality.

In related news, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Varanasi to check on preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit. The expected tour on June 18 includes a farmers' conference and a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
