Two Arrested for Transporting Ganja Near Kannampalayam

Two individuals were arrested near Kannampalayam for allegedly transporting ganja for sale, following a tip-off to Coimbatore's Sulur Police.


Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown, the Sulur Police apprehended two men from Bihar for allegedly transporting ganja in the Kannampalayam area. Acting on confidential information, a vehicle checkpoint was set up near Kannampalayam on June 22. During the inspection, Jitendra Kumar, 19, and Rajesh Kumar, 30, were found transporting ganja intended for sale. Authorities seized 1 kilogram and 100 grams of ganja from their possession. Following the arrest, both were detained and later remanded to judicial custody.
