Second-year Physical Education student commits suicide at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore

A second-year Physical Education student from Bharathiar University in Coimbatore was found dead in his hostel room. Police are investigating the cause of the suicide.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident occurred at Bharathiar University in Coimbatore as a second-year Physical Education student was found dead in his hostel room on Tuesday afternoon. The student, identified as Subash from Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district, had reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself.

According to sources, Subash had been playing volleyball since morning. However, he was later found hanging in his hostel room in the afternoon. The Vadavalli police have recovered the body and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the student's suicide.

The news of the young student's untimely death has sent shockwaves through the university community. Fellow students and faculty members are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a promising young life.

Authorities at Bharathiar University have expressed their condolences and are cooperating with the police investigation. The Vadavalli police are examining all possible angles to determine the reason behind Subash's drastic step.
