Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Agency issues heatwave alert


Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Agency has issued a heatwave alert to the districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, Pudukottai, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Karur, Tiruchirapalli, Ariyalur, and Perambalur. The weather at Coimbatore is forecasted to be 36 degrees at the beginning of next week.

The IMD has reported that the heat wave condition is very likely to occur at isolated places in these districts on the 17th and 18th of April. The collectors of the districts are requested to take necessary action in this regard.
