Admission Deadline Extended for Government Women's Industrial Training Institute in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced an extension of the admission deadline for the Government Women's Industrial Training Institute in Coimbatore for the 2024-25 academic year. The initial admission period was from July 1 to 15, but it has now been extended until July 31.

Applications are welcome from candidates who have passed 8th and 10th grade. There is no age limit for applicants, and no special fees are charged. A help desk has been set up to assist those who wish to apply in person.

The institute offers one-year training programs in various fields, including computer operations and information technology. Successful trainees will receive a National Trade Certificate from the Central Government upon completion of their course.

All trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 750. Under the Pudhumai Penn Scheme, women who studied in government schools will be provided additional benefits, including a Rs. 1,000 stipend, bicycle, uniform, footwear, textbooks, drawing instruments, and a free bus pass for distances up to 30 kilometers.
