Various works carried out in Ward 52 of Coimbatore Corporation

Coimbatore Corporation's East Zone Chairman Lakshmi Ilanchelvi Karthik supervised multiple maintenance activities in Ward 52 on July 20, including storm water drain cleaning and sewage removal in several areas.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation's East Zone carried out various maintenance works in Ward 52 on July 20, following the instructions of East Zone Chairman Lakshmi Ilanchelvi Karthik.



In the Kavetti Layout area of Ward 52, storm water drains were desilted, and overgrown grass was cut and removed. This action aims to improve the drainage system's efficiency, especially during the rainy season.



Similar maintenance activities were conducted in other parts of the ward. In Peelamedu Puthur, sewage waste was cleared from Mariamman Kovil Street and Balan Nagar areas. This effort is expected to enhance sanitation and prevent potential health hazards in these residential areas.



Additionally, storm water drains were desilted in Anna Nagar 9th Street and Lal Bahadur Nagar. These actions are part of the corporation's ongoing efforts to maintain proper drainage systems across the city and prevent waterlogging during heavy rains.

These maintenance works underscore the Coimbatore Corporation's commitment to improving infrastructure and sanitation in various parts of the city, particularly in the eastern zone. Regular upkeep of storm water drains and sewage systems is crucial for preventing flooding and ensuring public health and safety.
