Coimbatore Corporation's East Zone Chairman Inspects Drainage and Water Supply Works

East Zone Chairman Ilanchelvi Karthik inspected drainage work in Ward 23 and 24/7 water supply project in Ward 52 of Coimbatore Corporation on July 27, responding to public demands and ensuring timely completion of works.


Coimbatore: East Zone Chairman of Coimbatore Corporation, Ilanchelvi Karthik, conducted inspections in two wards on July 27, addressing public concerns and monitoring ongoing projects.



In Ward 23, Chitra Airport, Kumarasamy Nagar, Ilanchelvi Karthik visited the area around noon to assess the need for a rainwater drainage system. The inspection was prompted by requests from local residents. Ward 23 Councillor Chitramaniyan accompanied the chairman during the visit. Ilanchelvi Karthik instructed Assistant Engineer A.E. Kumar to conduct a detailed study and take necessary actions to address the drainage issue.



Chief Executive Committee member V. Balasubramaniam and area residents were also present during the inspection.

Later in the day, Ilanchelvi Karthik visited Ward 52 in Balan Nagar to inspect the ongoing 24/7 water supply project. The chairman examined the sites where excavation work had been carried out for the project. Concrete mixture was being used to restore the dug-up areas. After the inspection, Ilanchelvi Karthik directed the officials to complete the works promptly.

These inspections demonstrate the Coimbatore Corporation's commitment to addressing public concerns and ensuring the timely completion of infrastructure projects in the city.
