Field work was carried out at Kunnathur Lake in Kattampatti, involving weed removal and tree planting. The event was organized by Kovai Kulangal Padhukappu Amaippu with support from Zahoransky Moulds and Machines Pvt Ltd.
Coimbatore: The Kovai Kulangal Padhukappu Amaippu conducted field work at Kunnathur Lake in Kattampatti on July 31.

This marks the second phase of the project supported by Zahoransky Moulds & Machines Pvt Ltd. The activities included clearing weeds from the dense forest area around the lake and planting tree saplings.

Students from KPR College of Arts and Science and Sankara College of Arts and Commerce actively participated in the field work.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers from Sankara College were particularly involved in the environmental conservation effort.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to protect and restore Coimbatore's water bodies. The involvement of college students in such environmental activities not only aids in the conservation work but also helps in raising awareness about the importance of preserving local ecosystems among the younger generation.
