12-foot Python Rescued from Private Garden Near Pollachi, Safely Released into Forest

A 12-foot python was discovered in a private garden in Aliyar area near Pollachi. Forest officials safely captured the snake and released it into dense forest.



Coimbatore: In a startling incident near Pollachi, a massive python measuring 12 feet in length was found in a private garden in the Aliyar area. The unexpected visitor caused quite a stir before being safely rescued by forest officials.

Velusamy, the owner of the private garden, was going about his daily routine when he spotted the python hidden among the palm leaves. Shocked by the sight, he immediately alerted the forest department about the presence of the large snake on his property.



Responding promptly to the call, forest officials rushed to the scene. They skillfully captured the 12-foot python, demonstrating their expertise in handling such situations. The rescue operation was carried out with utmost care to ensure the safety of both the snake and the officials involved.

Following the successful capture, the forest department team transported the python to a suitable location deep within the forest. They then released the snake back into its natural habitat, far from human settlements. This action not only ensured the python's safety but also maintained the ecological balance of the area.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of human-wildlife coexistence and the role of forest officials in managing such encounters. Residents in areas bordering forests are advised to remain vigilant and promptly report any wildlife sightings to the appropriate authorities.
