Trinity Summit 2024: TCE Inaugurates Department Association for Automobile, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering in Coimbatore

Tamilnadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore, launched its Departmental Association for Automobile, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering on August 31, 2024, emphasizing the importance of core engineering branches and industry-relevant skills.


Coimbatore: The Tamilnadu College of Engineering (TCE) in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, inaugurated its Departmental Association for Automobile, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering for the academic year 2024-25 on August 31, 2024. The event, titled "Trinity Summit - 2024," aimed to benefit the student community and highlight the significance of core engineering branches.

The inauguration ceremony began with a prayer song and the traditional lighting of the Kuthu vilakku by the dignitaries present. M. Nivash, a third-year Automobile Engineering student, welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. Dharmalingam, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. N.S. Sakthivel Murugan, Principal of TCE, and Er. K.S. Satheesh Kumar, General Manager of PARK Group of Institutions, delivered felicitation addresses, emphasizing the importance of association activities and encouraging students to organize more events in the future.

Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, presided over the function. In her speech, she commended students for choosing core engineering branches despite the trend towards software-related fields. Dr. Ravi encouraged students to aspire to become entrepreneurs and researchers, urging them to address challenges faced by the engineering industry. She also advised students to incorporate knowledge gained from internships into their regular studies.

The chief guest, Dr. K. Thanarajan, General Manager of Suryabala Honda, Coimbatore, delivered the inaugural address. He highlighted the importance of heat and mass transfer in daily life and emphasized the significance of Civil, Automobile, and Mechanical Engineering branches. Dr. Thanarajan stressed that these departments provide both mental and physical work, which is essential for overall health.

During the event, students who achieved excellence in various activities were honored with certificates. The ceremony also featured video presentations showcasing the achievements of all departments. C.V. Arun, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student, proposed the vote of thanks. The function concluded with the National Anthem.

The Trinity Summit 2024 marks a significant step in TCE's efforts to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and industry-relevant skills among its engineering students, preparing them for the challenges of the evolving technological landscape.
