Prakash, 28, hails from Pollachi, Othakal Mandapam in Masikoundampalyam. He was in an alleged relationship with Jagadamba who was a nurse. In 2013, she approached him with a marriage proposal, however, he rejected the proposal and out of fury, slit her neck and killed her.
Later on, a case was filed at the Pollachi West Town police station. His wife, Satyabhama and friend Roopesh were released recently from prison.
In a ruling of the Coimbatore women’s court, Prakash was sentenced to life time imprisonment and was liable to pay an amount of Rs 5000.
