A 30-year-old Coimbatore youth, found wandering in Kozhikode, Kerala, is under medical care. Police are working to identify and reunite him with his family after a four-month absence.

Coimbatore: A 30-year-old youth from Coimbatore was found wandering in Kozhikode, Kerala, four months ago. Local residents rescued him and admitted him to a hospital. After receiving treatment, his condition has slightly improved.

The hospital administration informed the Kozhikode Intelligence Police about the situation. Subsequently, the police visited the hospital to question the young man. During the inquiry, he revealed his name as Manikandan and stated that he had been living in the Ukkadam area of Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. He also mentioned that his father's name is Sekar, a driver, his mother is Pillaiyammal, and his brother Manimaalai is a tailor. However, he was unable to provide complete details.

The Intelligence Police then approached the Coimbatore Police for assistance. The Coimbatore Police informed them that no missing person complaint matching the youth's description had been filed. Following this, both the Kerala and Tamil Nadu police are continuing their investigation to identify the young man and locate his family.

The authorities are working diligently to verify the information provided by Manikandan and to establish contact with his family members in Coimbatore. The case highlights the challenges in tracing individuals who become disoriented and end up far from their homes.

As the investigation progresses, both police departments are collaborating to piece together Manikandan's journey from Coimbatore to Kozhikode and the circumstances that led to his current situation. The primary goal remains to reunite the young man with his family and ensure his safe return home.
