MLA Vanathi Srinivasan inaugurated a blood donation camp in Coimbatore on PM Modi's birthday. She expressed her vision to create forests in vacant public spaces within her constituency.
Coimbatore: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the BJP organized a blood donation camp in Ram Nagar area on Sunday (Sept.17). Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP National Women's Wing President and Coimbatore South MLA, inaugurated the event. H. Raja, BJP State Coordination Committee Chairman, attended as a special guest.
Speaking to reporters, Vanathi Srinivasan said that various welfare schemes would be implemented in different places until October 2nd to mark the Prime Minister's birthday. She added, "We pray to God that the Prime Minister should remain healthy for a long time to transform this country into a superpower."

The MLA also mentioned ongoing initiatives such as the "Tree Sapling Planting Scheme" in Amma's name, the mini-forest development project, and membership drives. She reported conducting these activities along with H. Raja in the Siddapudur area.
Highlighting the blood donation camp in Ram Nagar, Vanathi Srinivasan stated that thirty people had donated blood so far. She emphasized the need to raise awareness about blood donation among the public and encourage more people to donate.

Regarding her constituency, Vanathi Srinivasan expressed her vision, saying, "As far as I'm concerned, my idea is to create forests wherever there are public spaces within the Coimbatore South Assembly constituency." She mentioned collaborating with the Siruthuli organization to implement this project, focusing primarily on planting native tree species in the mini-forest scheme.
The MLA also spoke about plans to activate the "Green Brigade," a student organization present in every school. She aims to motivate students in her constituency to participate actively in environmental initiatives.
Later in the day, Vanathi Srinivasan attended the Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrations at Visvesvara School in Sukravarpettai, Coimbatore. She offered prayers and distributed food to the Vishwakarma community members present at the event.
