MLA AK Selvaraj Inaugurates New Ration Shop in Mettupalayam

MLA AK Selvaraj inaugurated a new ration shop worth Rs 17 lakh in Bharathi Nagar, Mettupalayam Municipality. The shop was built using MLA constituency development funds to benefit local residents.


Coimbatore: Mettupalayam MLA AK Selvaraj inaugurated a newly constructed ration shop in Bharathi Nagar, Ward 31 of Mettupalayam Municipality on Wednesday. The shop, built at a cost of Rs 17 lakh, was funded through the MLA constituency development fund.

The construction of the ration shop was initiated to cater to the needs of the local residents. After the completion of the building work, an event was organized to open the new facility for public use.



MLA AK Selvaraj officially inaugurated the ration shop and conducted the first sale to the public. The event was attended by Mettupalayam Municipality Commissioner Amudha, Ward 31 Councillor Vijayalakshmi, and local residents.

The new ration shop is expected to improve the distribution of essential commodities to the people of Bharathi Nagar and surrounding areas. This initiative demonstrates the government's commitment to enhancing public infrastructure and services in the region.
