Coimbatore: The construction of a drainage system commenced today in Samayapuram Anna Nagar area of Thekkampatti Panchayat, Karamadai Panchayat, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District. The project, estimated at Rs. 4.84 lakhs, is funded by Union Councillor Chitra Kali Sami.
Mettupalayam MLA A.K. Selvaraj inaugurated the project by performing the Bhoomi Puja. The ceremony marked the official start of the drainage construction work, which aims to improve sanitation and living conditions in the area.
