Coimbatore: Aspiring food entrepreneurs, homemakers and individuals interested in value-added food processing have an opportunity to learn the preparation of ready-to-cook food products at a two-day training programme to be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore.
Offering participants practical exposure to manufacturing value-added convenience food products, the two-day hands-on training programme on the preparation of ready-to-cook food mixes on July 29 and 30,
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the university campus in Coimbatore.
Participants will be trained in the preparation of a wide range of ready-to-cook products, including dosa mix, adai mix, dhokla mix, bisibele bath mix, kheer mix, gulab jamun mix, ice cream mix, tomato rice mix and soup mix. The training will focus on practical techniques involved in preparing, processing and value-adding convenience foods with commercial potential.
The registration fee for the programme is ₹1,770 (₹1,500 plus 18% GST), payable on the first day of the training.
