A motivational session for first-year B.E./B.Tech. students was held on 10 September 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at C-Block, LBS Hall, Karpagam College of Engineering, Othakkalmandapam, as part of the YUVA 2026 Freshmen Induction Programme. Poet and motivational speaker Pulavar Pon. Poongodi was the special guest, who spoke on values drawn from Tamil grammar and literary works and their application in daily life. She urged students to read the finest works of Tamil literature to build good values, discipline, and ethics, and guided them to discover their talents, gain self-confidence, and work towards their future goals.
