Coimbatore Gudalur Municipality has intensified mosquito and larvae eradication work across all 27 wards to prevent dengue fever, on the advice of Municipal Chairman Arivarasu and under Municipal Commissioner Gopinath's directive. Health inspectors, larvae eradication workers and sanitation staff are jointly inspecting houses, vacant plots, construction sites, public places and waterlogged areas, removing stagnant water and spraying mosquito repellent where needed. Residents are urged to check their homes and surroundings weekly, avoid water stagnation in unused tyres, coconut shells and plastic items, and cooperate fully with the municipal administration to build a dengue-free Gudalur Municipality.

During the inspections, locations where mosquito larvae are breeding are being identified, and measures such as removing stagnant water, clearing away unwanted materials, carrying out larvae eradication activities, and spraying mosquito repellent in required areas are being undertaken.
In addition, awareness is being created among the public about preventing dengue fever. Residents have been advised to ensure that water does not stagnate in and around their homes, and to avoid allowing rainwater to collect in unused tyres, coconut shells, plastic items and similar objects.
The municipal administration has requested that the public thoroughly inspect their homes and surroundings once a week and immediately remove any locations that could serve as potential breeding grounds for mosquito larvae.
