Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja inspected development works in Vadavalli and Thillai Nagar under the Western Zone on September 21, 2026. He reviewed sanitation worker attendance at the Vadavalli Health Inspector office in Ward 38, urged residents of Mullai Nagar and Super Garden in Ward 36 to segregate waste into four categories, ordered land survey at Thillai Nagar Towerline for corporation development use, and inspected the garbage recycling site in Kavundampalayam, Jeeva Nagar in Ward 33, directing officials to speed up the works.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja, IAS, on September 21, 2026, personally inspected development works planned in the Vadavalli and Thillai Nagar areas under the Western Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation.
The Commissioner first visited the Health Inspector's office located on Vadavalli Main Road, coming under Ward No. 38 of the Western Zone, where he reviewed the attendance register of sanitation workers and inspected the sanitation work being carried out in the area.
Following this, the Commissioner created awareness among the public residing in Mullai Nagar and Super Garden areas under Ward No. 36, instructing them to segregate household waste into four categories before handing it over to sanitation workers. He then had the corporation land near Thillai Nagar Towerline surveyed and instructed the concerned officials to utilise it for corporation development works.
The Commissioner also personally inspected the garbage recycling site in Kavundampalayam, Jeeva Nagar area under Ward No. 33, and instructed the concerned officials to speed up the works there.
During these inspections, Western Zone Chairperson K A Deivayanai Tamilmarai, Assistant Commissioner Narmadha, Executive Engineer Jegan, Assistant Executive Engineer Savitha, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan, Assistant Engineers Vimala and Karthikeyan (Po), Health Inspector Rajendran, and other corporation officials were present.
