The Mechanical Engineering Department of Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT), Coimbatore in association with Quality Circle Forum of India - Coimbatore Chapter had organised a two-day workshop in Lean tools and Implementation.
Yogeshwari, Secretary, and Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) – Coimbatore was the Chief Guest for the workshop. She addressed the students and shared her expertise on current industrial trends. 'Production of quality goods with minimal wastage' is the need of the hour, she stated. Controlling and minimising the wastes during the production is the best way to save raw materials and lessen production cost. Implementation of 5S (sort, set in order, standardise, shine and sustain) will help drive us towards achieving Swatch Bharat Mission, she assured.

More than 60 students from various colleges of Tamil Nadu have attended the workshop on Lean tools and techniques.

Sri Krishna College of Technology has received their membership certificate from Quality Circle Forum of India - Coimbatore Chapter. The students were given projects related to 5S which would help them improve at par with industrial standards and making them responsible students as well.
