Yesterday night, the Race Course Police during their regular patrol have seized 1.8 kgs of Ganja in Ukkadam. The patrol was led by Sub-Inspector, Amirtha.
The restless activities of a stranger at a cafeteria in Ukkadam alerted the police, who approached the stranger for inquiry. On inquiry, the police found was in possession of 1.8 kg of Ganja and his name is Azharuddin, a resident of the same area.
The race course police have arrested the offender and has taken him on custody to investigate on his connections.
