Coimbatore: The Park Group of Institutions hosted its two-day intercollegiate cultural and technical festival, “Zero G 2026,” with grandeur at its Kaniyur campus in Coimbatore.
Organised jointly by PARK College of Engineering and Technology and Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, the event emerged as one of the major student festivals of May 2026, bringing together hundreds of students from 22 colleges across Tamil Nadu.
More than 30 technical competitions and cultural events were conducted, offering participants a vibrant platform to showcase their innovation, creativity, and artistic talents.
The opening day featured a musical performance by playback singer and music composer Nivas K Prasanna and actress-singer Madonna Sebastian.
On the second day, Karumathampatti Deputy Superintendent of Police Karikal Pari Sankar and actor Rio Raj attended as chief guests and felicitated students, faculty members, and staff members who had excelled in academics, sports, and various other fields.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anusha Ravi, Chief Executive Officer of the Park Group of Institutions, stated that the institution’s vision is to nurture entrepreneurship and inspire every alumni family to produce future entrepreneurs.
She further announced the launch of two new scholarship initiatives — the “Nambikkai Scholarship” and the “Sakthi Scholarship” — beginning this academic year.
As part of the initiative, the “Nambikkai Scholarship” was awarded to a first-year student pursuing Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with the objective of supporting students who have lost their parents and are residing in orphanages to continue their higher education.
Similarly, the “Sakthi Scholarship” was awarded to a first-year Computer Science and Engineering student to support differently-abled students in accessing quality higher education opportunities.
